Spectrum Instrumentation has introduced a new flagship range consisting of seven digitizers with 12-bit resolution and bandwidths reaching up to 4.7GHz. The DN2.33x series includes one or two channel variants, offering maximum sampling rates of 3.2, 5, and 10 GS/s. These models are designed to be the new top-of-the-line products in Spectrum’s ‘Netbox’ range, catering to the needs of scientists and engineers seeking high-performance solutions for their applications.
With the ability to connect directly to PCs, laptops, or company networks using an Ethernet/LXI cable, the DN2.33x series digitizers provide flexibility and convenience in data acquisition. The products offer sampling rates ranging from 3.2 GS/s to 10 GS/s, 12-bit vertical resolution, and bandwidths from 1 GHz to 4.7 GHz. With seven different variants available, users can select the most suitable option to meet their specific requirements.
Targeted towards R&D and industrial users, these digitizers come equipped with all the necessary software tools for signal capture, storage, and analysis. The digitizerNETBOX units can be easily integrated into automated test systems, thanks to their LXI compliance. Front panel connectors facilitate seamless integration in ATE applications, providing dedicated lines for external clock and trigger signals, as well as multi-purpose lines for various functions.
Each channel of the digitizers features its own ADC and independent front-end signal conditioning, along with calibrated gain and offset settings. Input ranges are programmable from ±200 mV up to ±2.5 V, offering flexibility for different measurement scenarios. Dual-channel models ensure synchronous clocking of ADCs, minimizing phase errors and enabling precise cross-channel measurements.
The digitizers also boast fast sample rates and large on-board memory capacities, allowing for the capture and storage of long or complex signals. Smart trigger and acquisition modes enable efficient data acquisition, with support for features like Transient Capture, Multiple Recording, and Block Averaging. The included SBench 6 Professional software provides comprehensive instrument control for acquisition, processing, analysis, and documentation.
For users who prefer custom programming, the digitizerNETBOX products come with software development kits supporting various languages such as C++, Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW. Rackmount kits are available for easy installation in standard 19-inch racking systems. With a 5-year warranty, free software and firmware updates for the lifetime of the unit, and long-term service and spare parts support, these digitizers offer a reliable and durable solution for demanding measurement applications.
