Agile Analog, based in Cambridge, UK, has recently announced that it is now making its customisable analog IP available on the GlobalFoundries (GF) FinFet and FDX FD-SOI processes. This move allows Agile Analog to offer its innovative portfolio of highly configurable, multi-node analog IP solutions to GF customers worldwide. The company, known for its expertise in analog IP development, is also a member of the TSMC open innovation ecosystem, further solidifying its position in the industry.

With this development, Agile Analog is expanding its offerings to cover all customizable analog IP across GlobalFoundries' CMOS and BCD processes. The company has already begun working on customer designs across various process nodes, with successful deliveries on GF's 22FDX+ and 12LP+ technology platforms. Notably, Agile Analog provided a selection of power management IP to a prominent US communications company on GF 22FDX+, including agileLDO regulators and agileREF bandgap and reference generators.

On the GF 12LP+ platform, Agile Analog delivered agileREF bandgap and reference generators, as well as an enhanced version of its voltage glitch detector, agileVGLITCH, to a major Tier 1 US customer. The security-focused agileVGLITCH can detect voltage glitches of less than 2ns duration, making it ideal for anti-tamper applications and safeguarding against potential side-channel attacks.

Barry Paterson, CEO of Agile Analog, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with GF, stating, "This is a great partnership and another important milestone for Agile Analog. Our collaboration with GF allows us to leverage our analog IP expertise to help customers accelerate product development while maintaining high quality. Through our Composa technology, we offer customization options, as well as off-the-shelf solutions."

Furthermore, Agile Analog has become a part of the GF GlobalSolutions Ecosystem programme for EDA, IP, and design. Ziv Hammer, Senior Vice President of Design Platforms and Services at GF, highlighted the value of Agile Analog's specialization in analog IP, emphasizing the benefits it brings to customers. By combining Agile Analog's unique technology and customizable solutions with GF's resources and advanced technologies, customers can expedite the introduction of new applications to the market.
