The partnership between Bounteous x Accolite and Nokia has taken a significant step forward with the expansion of the API ecosystem. This ecosystem, created by Nokia, aims to bring together various stakeholders such as operators, systems integrators, software developers, and hyperscalers to leverage the capabilities of 5G networks. The primary goal is to monetize network assets by developing new use cases for consumer, enterprise, and industrial customers.
The Network as Code platform, a key component of this collaboration, serves as a unifying force that simplifies network complexities by abstracting them and providing developer-friendly interfaces. These interfaces empower developers to seamlessly deploy applications across both public and private networks, unlocking the full potential of 5G technology.
Through the platform, developers from Bounteous x Accolite will have access to a range of tools and resources, including Software Development Kits (SDK), network API documentation, a 'sandbox' for code creation and testing, and code 'snippets' for application development. These resources enable developers to harness 5G network capabilities, such as on-demand quality of service (QoS), to innovate and deliver enhanced value to their customers.
One of the initial focuses of the collaboration between Bounteous x Accolite and Nokia is the development of healthcare applications. These applications aim to improve emergency response times by enabling patients and hospitals to track ambulance locations in real-time. Bounteous x Accolite's expertise spans various industries, including telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, and media, enhancing customer experiences through innovative product offerings and service delivery.
Since its inception nearly a year ago, Nokia has established collaboration agreements with 17 network operators and ecosystem partners across Europe, North and South America, and Asia to leverage the Network as Code platform. Sanjeev Kumar, General Manager Telecom & Media at Bounteous x Accolite, emphasized the commitment to delivering exceptional digital experiences through engineering capabilities and partnerships with forward-thinking companies. Shkumbin Hamiti, Head of Network Monetization Platform at Nokia, highlighted Bounteous x Accolite's potential to harness the capabilities of 5G and 4G networks to create new value propositions for its customers.
