Viasat and Azercosmos to Expand Satellite Services Across EMEA/Asia

Under the proposed satellite services arrangement, Azercosmos and Viasat are set to revolutionize connectivity for a variety of industrial applications, enabling organizations to operate more efficiently, sustainably, and safely, even in the most remote locations. This partnership will facilitate crucial functions such as tracking and telemetry for advanced transport systems, pipeline monitoring and control for energy companies, real-time control for utilities, and environmental or safety monitoring for mining and agriculture.

Azercosmos is known for providing a wide range of telecommunications, remote sensing, surveying, and ground station communications services across both public and private sectors. By collaborating with Viasat, Azercosmos will significantly enhance its connectivity offerings, allowing it to cater to a broader range of services for existing and new customers. This marks the first instance of Viasat-enabled satellite services being made available within the Republic of Azerbaijan.
