3A POL switching regulator as drop in linear replacement

Traco Power has developed a step-down switching regulator series with 2A and 3A currents as a drop-in replacement for any TO-220 package linear regulator.
The TSR 2N and TSR 3N come in a compact SIP-3 plastic package as point of load (POL) converters. These can replace linear converters while also improving on critical electrical specifications.

Output voltages are available between 1.2 and 15VDC and depending on the model, the 95% efficient design allows full load operation from -40 °C up to +95 °C ambient temperature (at nominal Vin) without the need of any heat sink or forced cooling. The input range is 4.6 to 36 VDC.
The TSR 2N and TSR 3N switching regulators provide other significant features such as short circuit protection, current limitation and under voltage lockout.
The switching regulator series has a three year warranty.
