Hyundai’s venture arm, Cradle, has made a significant investment in Xnergy Autonomous Power Technologies to further develop wireless charging technology. This strategic move by Hyundai Cradle, in collaboration with Accuron Technologies, aims to advance the wireless charging capabilities for autonomous vehicles.

The investment in Xenergy marks the official launch of Accuron’s New Ventures initiative, which focuses on supporting innovative technologies that have the potential to revolutionize various industries. The wireless charging system developed by Xenergy comprises a universal transmitter (charging station) and receiver that connects to the electric vehicle battery. With the ability to adjust the output power from 1000W to 9000W and utilizing a 7cm air gap, Xenergy's technology is at the forefront of contactless charging solutions.

Edwin Chow, Vice President for Industrials & New Ventures at Accuron Technologies, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re pleased to welcome Xnergy into the Accuron New Ventures portfolio. Their innovative solutions in contactless charging are poised to make a substantial impact on the evolving EV market. This investment aligns with our strategy of supporting technologies that drive sectoral transformation and contribute to a sustainable future.”

Founded in 2018, Xnergy specializes in high-power contactless charging systems designed specifically for autonomous vehicles. By eliminating the need for wired charging, Xenergy’s technology not only enhances safety and efficiency but also addresses challenges related to charging infrastructure availability and sustainability. The scalability and ease of deployment of their wireless charging system make it a promising solution for the automotive industry.

CF Tong, Chief Executive Officer at Xnergy Autonomous Power Technologies, expressed gratitude for the support from Hyundai CRADLE and the Accuron Group, stating, “Their investment and trust not only validate our vision but also empower us to accelerate our progress and advance our contactless charging technology. With our investors’ strategic guidance and resources, we are poised to achieve new milestones and drive innovation in the automotive industry.”
