ProLogium, a leading innovator in battery technology, has made significant strides in the development of lithium ceramic solid-state batteries. With the delivery of nearly 8,000 samples of its revolutionary battery cells, the company is gearing up to supply major car manufacturers later this year.

The solid-state battery samples are the result of cutting-edge production processes carried out in fully automated roll-to-roll pilot production lines located in Taiwan. These samples are intended for global automakers to test and develop modules utilizing ProLogium's lithium ceramic cells.

One of the key breakthroughs in ProLogium's solid-state battery technology is the replacement of the traditional polymer separator film in lithium-ion battery cells with a ceramic separator. This structural enhancement allows for the integration of advanced materials that were previously incompatible with conventional battery designs.

ProLogium's innovative battery structure supports a wide range of high-activity anode materials and solid-state electrolytes, enabling the creation of liquid, semi-solid, hybrid solid, or all-solid-state batteries. Additionally, it paves the way for future BiPolar+ battery modules and pack designs, offering versatility and efficiency in energy storage solutions.

The ceramic separator not only enhances safety by preventing short circuits but also enables impressive energy densities ranging from 700 to 1,100 Wh/L and over 500 Wh/kg. The cells exhibit rapid charging capabilities, reaching from 5% to 80% in just 9 minutes, with exceptional durability even after 800 fast-charge cycles.

ProLogium's patented technology, known as "Logithium," ensures precise alignment and electrode adhesion during manufacturing, resulting in a remarkable 99.9% yield rate on the pilot production line. The separator process technology allows for high-speed production, with speeds of up to 55 meters per minute, setting new standards in battery manufacturing efficiency.

The company's lithium ceramic batteries offer a significant advantage over traditional batteries by enabling faster production speeds and higher yields. Vincent Yang, the founder and chairman of ProLogium Technology, emphasized the transformative nature of this innovation, highlighting the shift towards a film-free design as a key milestone in battery technology evolution.

In January, ProLogium inaugurated the world's first giga-level lithium ceramic battery factory in Taoyuan, Taiwan, marking a significant milestone in the company's journey towards mass production. Additionally, the establishment of a research center in France underscores ProLogium's commitment to global expansion and collaboration in advancing battery technology.

The research center in Paris-Saclay will house state-of-the-art laboratories focused on electrolyte exploration, battery cell structure innovation, and manufacturing process design. This strategic move aligns with ProLogium's vision of integrating technological strengths from Taiwan and France to drive innovation and meet the evolving needs of the market.

ProLogium's collaboration with Arkema on material development tailored for the lithium ceramic process further solidifies its position as a pioneer in solid-state battery technology. The company's dedication to establishing cross-disciplinary collaborations and setting new international standards in battery research and development underscores its commitment to driving innovation in the industry.

As ProLogium continues to push the boundaries of battery technology, its focus on research, development, and strategic partnerships positions it as a key player in shaping the future of energy storage solutions.
